I’m delighted to be showing this triptych “This Place: Embrace – Weathered – Remnants” at All Saints, Wighton, near Wells-next-the-Sea during July 2026.
This Place: Embrace – Weathered – Remnants
“This Place” began with a question: how to capture experiences of North Norfolk, reduced to colour and stripe? I settled on three lenses – people, places and things.
“Embrace” describes experiences of its diverse, generous and openhearted community.
“Weathered” recalls Hunstanton’s iconic striped cliffs.
“Remnants” abstracts observations along that shore: rockpools, oystercatchers, the memory of a pier, the wreck of the Sheraton.
People, places & things: our enduring lenses for making sense of the world.
It’s been a rewarding experience to make a piece that can hang and rotate in free space, in such a wonderfully calm environment like Wighton church.
